Job Title: Process Engineer
Location: Birmingham
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum plus comprehensive benefits package

We are representing a leading company specializing in innovative solutions within the water and wastewater industry. They are seeking a talented Process Engineer to join their team in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects and work with a dynamic team of professionals.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
·Tender Strategy Input: Provide process expertise during internal tender strategy and review meetings, and follow up on agreed actions.
·Project Support: Offer process and technical support to project teams during contract execution, including preparation of key process documentation such as Design Basis, Process Guarantees, Block Diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and more.
·Quotation Assessment: Evaluate the technical content of returned quotations to ensure alignment with project requirements.
·Order Checking: Verify the technical accuracy of orders prepared by Purchasing.
·Vendor Communication: Address technical queries from vendors and provide clear, comprehensive responses.
·Specification Understanding: Develop a thorough understanding of both Client and Company specifications to clearly define process requirements.
·Team Communication: Maintain effective communication with the Lead Design Co-ordinator, Project Manager, Proposals Engineer, and other stakeholders including Clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
·Design Input: Contribute to design meetings and reviews, including HAZOP studies and Value Engineering processes.
·Commissioning & Troubleshooting: Provide technical input into commissioning programming and troubleshooting activities.
·Data Collection: Oversee the collection of operational and performance data from sites, and contribute to the development of computer-aided process design techniques.
·Field Studies: Conduct field/pilot studies and tests as required.
·Sales Support: Offer support to the sales team as needed.
·Standards & Manuals: Assist in the preparation of standards, design notes, manuals, and maintain technical files.
·Technology & Compliance: Stay updated on relevant technological advancements, and adhere to Health and Safety and Environmental Management System policies.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:
·Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
·Working towards Chartered Engineer, Eur Ing, or similar status.
·Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a range of IT packages.
·3 to 5 years of experience as a Process Engineer, preferably within the water/wastewater industry.
·Experience in participating in HAZOP studies.

Desirable:
·Experience with BioWin design model.
