Role Overview:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior/Lead Ruby on Rails Engineer to join our team. This role involves leading a substantial rebuild of our existing platform, which is crucial for advancing our mission. The ideal candidate is self-sufficient, adaptable, and comfortable with a high degree of autonomy, as this position requires navigating through unstructured guidelines and learning on the go.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the architectural redesign and development of our existing Ruby on Rails platform.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visual design, and user experience.
* Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
* Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
* Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues.
* Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
* Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and methodologies.

* Hybrid role with the flexibility of remote work.
* Onsite office working – ideally once or twice a week but we can be flexible here.
