Database Administrator

Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services, requires Database Administrator with SC Cleared/SC Active.

This is a fully remote role.

This is a 6+ month temporary contract to start ASAP

Day rate: Competitive Market rate

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure and administer database management systems (DBMS) such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
  • Troubleshoot any database issues and environment and drive for issue resolution/closure
  • Problem identification and permanent fix of issues related to database.
  • Update documents as per customer defined procedures
  • Troubleshoot performance issues and help with the improvement

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Database administration.
  • Familiar with databases like MSSQL, MySQL, OracleDB, Cosmos DB, etc
  • Familiar with Scripting languages like SQL, Python, PowerShell, etc
  • Strong knowledge of database management systems (DBMS) such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
  • Understanding of database architecture and data modelling.
  • Familiarity with database design principles and best practices.
  • Experience with various operating systems (Windows, Linux, UNIX).
  • Monitor database performance and capacity to ensure optimal usage and availability.
  • Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies.
  • Perform regular backups and test recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
