Job Title: Paralegal
Job Type: 6-month contract
Salary: £17 per hour including holiday pay PAYE
Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland (Hybrid - 3 days a week in the office)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Paralegal to join a dynamic legal team in Belfast. This role offers the chance to work within a global leader in professional services, providing an unparalleled platform to build on your existing Paralegal experience. The position is a hybrid role, offering flexibility with three days in the office and two days working remotely. This six-month assignment will see you working closely with the business and legal team on day-to-day contractual and strategic administration matters.

What you'll do:
As a Paralegal, you will be instrumental in supporting the business's legal operations. Your primary responsibilities will include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating client agreements as well as responding to routine legal enquiries. You will also manage a centralised mailbox for legal requests, ensuring all queries are addressed promptly. Additionally, you will conduct comprehensive contract reviews to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with company policies. Your role will also involve maintaining accurate records of all contractual agreements and conducting regular legal research. With your commitment to continuous learning, you will develop internal know-how and precedents for use across the organisation.

. Draft, review, and negotiate client agreements and ancillary legal documentation in line with company playbooks and guidance.
. Respond to routine legal enquiries in a timely manner.
. Triage a centralised mailbox for legal requests and queries received from the businesses.
. Conduct thorough reviews of contracts to identify potential risks, inconsistencies, and deviations from company policies and standards.
. Maintain accurate records of contractual agreements, amendments, and other legal documents.
. Carry out legal research and provide legal updates to the team.
. Develop internal know-how and precedents for use, including maintaining template agreements and implementing process developments.

What you bring:

. Proven document drafting and negotiation skills.
. Strong commercial acumen with an ability to deliver clear and pragmatic solutions.
. Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple deadlines and tasks.
. Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage expectations well.
. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
. Natural enthusiasm for building on commercial/contracts experience within a leading global firm.
