Our Leeds based client are looking for a project manager on a permanent basis to help build and retain the skills and knowledge within the delivery team as they build a high performing function in their Leeds office. There is a constant and increasing amount of requirement in the delivery team driven by the growth of the wider business and the need to improve and enhance customer facing products and services.

The Project Manager will need to be very commercially aware both form an internal cost perspective and from the strong management of global 3rd party supplier relationships, they must also thrive in a fast-paced delivery environment with the ability to act at speed but with high levels of accuracy, compliance and the necessary regulatory adherence.

The Project Manager will need stakeholder management skills as a pre-requisite from a business engagement perspective as they help deliver business change but also upwardly as they will have regular interaction up to board level on steering committees. Also, a solid understanding of risk around deployment. The project manager will be responsible for shaping, defining, managing and delivering a coherent set of activities to deliver the agreed project scope, on time and within budget.

Project Management Tasks

Define and plan the technical and business scope of projects and resources required to deliver and implement them effectively

Define, challenge, communicate and manage a critical path

Identify project stakeholders, define and execute effective communications plan Scope, manage and report the project budget

Identify and manage dependencies across projects, programmes or the portfolio

Support and manage the project team to achieve objectives, milestones and deliverables Identify, track, manage and resolve risks and issues within tolerance and escalate risks to governance boards

Project Management Responsibilities

Ensure stakeholders are well-informed and aligned to the project including running steering groups

Clearly define, document and deliver the project objectives

Identify and secure the appropriate level and capability of resources required to deliver the project

Track return on investment and maintain the business case

Managing the approval and sign-off of project deliverables

Qualifications & Experience

Prince2 or MSP Practitioner, or equivalent experience
