Senior Data Engineer opportunity to join a well known financial institute as they go through an exciting digital transformation.

We are excited to announce an opening for the position of Senior Data Engineer at one of our esteemed finance clients located in Penrith. As their trusted recruitment agent, we are seeking qualified candidates who can bring value and innovation to this role.

Job Description:

As a senior data engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex ETL processes using Azure Datalake, Data Factory & Databricks while also maintaining custom-built databases on Azure SQL with the help of agile methodologies such as Scrum.

Qualifications Required:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering
- 5+ years experience working within database development/engineering roles

Skills required (if not covered by qualifications):

-Azure DevOps knowledge is essential since it involves continuous integration/deployment pipelines

-Python programming skills that enable creating testable code which enables easy debugging

-Confluence/Jira proficiency - You'll need these tools when collaborating closely with other developers!

-Knowledge about Power BI would prove beneficial too!

In addition to having technical expertise being able work independently whilst ensuring smooth communication flow between various stakeholders involved such Product Owners, Business Analysts etc., alongside following best practices related software engineering like writing clean documented codes should come naturally if applying
