Senior Infrastructure Engineer - EUC (End User Computing)

Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire with Hybrid Work Arrangements (1-2 days a week in the office)

Salary: £50,000 - £61,000 per annum, Plus Benefits Package (Bonus, Excellent Pension)

Our client, a leading organisation in the region, is looking for a talented Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their dynamic team. Demonstrating a strong commitment to leveraging technology for optimal performance, they are embarking on an ambitious initiative to invest in their technology infrastructure.

Role Overview:

Joining our vibrant team, you'll serve as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with a focus on End User Computing. You will contribute to the delivery of robust infrastructure services across various projects and programs, ensuring alignment with the organization's objectives, standards, and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining effective and efficient infrastructure services to support IT solutions across the business. This role includes defining best practices for infrastructure usage, managing detailed infrastructure risks, implementing appropriate mitigating controls, and identifying opportunities for innovation within the existing infrastructure. Additionally, you will contribute to the overall infrastructure strategy, ensuring it enhances or protects value and meets regulatory and operational requirements.

This position also requires providing 24/7 coverage as part of a standby rota.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the establishment and enforcement of IT standards and ensure adherence across all relevant processes.
  • Support Operations and Support teams with SAMANAGE activities during standard working hours as needed.
  • Serve as a senior engineer on technology projects, responsible for identifying technical tasks, creating high-quality detailed technical designs, and ensuring compliance with all approved technical standards.
  • Deliver services that are scalable, robust, reliable, secure, and compliant with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in contingency and security planning, ensuring alignment with business continuity plans.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to other members of the engineering and support teams.
  • Lead root cause investigations following incidents and implement appropriate changes to prevent recurrence.
  • Stay updated on advancements in infrastructure technologies, advocating for the adoption of existing, emerging, and new technologies to meet business objectives.

Skills and Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Proficiency in Windows 10/11 administration and configuration, including the ability to create builds and modify operating systems.
  • Strong knowledge of PowerShell Scripting and other Scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 services and applications, including Exchange Online, Teams integration, SharePoint Online, Office applications, eDiscovery, EOP, and ATP.
  • Knowledge of Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
  • Hands-on experience with Active Directory and Azure AD configuration, administration, and design.
  • Expertise in Group Policy configuration and troubleshooting, including regression testing and organizational unit (OU) management.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager services, such as Intune, Configuration Manager, Windows Autopilot, Azure Active Directory, Endpoint Analytics, and Manager Admin Center.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, along with experience in incident, problem, and change management processes.
