Business Resilience Manager/Business Continuity Manager

  • Job Type: Permanent Role
  • Location: Mostly home based, but ideally some presence in Southampton office and will involve travel to other offices.
  • Salary: Circa £70,000 per annum (possible flex for right candidate)

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Resilience Manager to oversee and develop Operational Resilience and Business Continuity Management a range of international locations for a global wealth and insurance management organisation.

This role reports to the Chief Information Security Officer and involves coordination across all locations, ensuring that our processes meet regulatory and business needs in Operational Resilience and Business Continuity Management (BCM).

Day to Day of the role:

  • Coordinate frameworks and processes to comply with laws and regulations related to Operational Resilience & DORA.
  • Define and implement testing and self-assessment mechanisms for annual compliance.
  • Collaborate with IT, Operations, Facilities, Outsourcing, and Risk teams to capture risks associated with Operational Resilience and important Business Services.
  • Implement a Lessons Learned process for assessing and reacting to events impacting operational resilience.
  • Identify and negotiate changes to improve operational resilience.
  • Provide bi-annual reporting to the Board and Executive Committee.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of the control landscape within the insurance business.
  • Knowledge of business resilience regulation in relevant locations.
  • Results-focused, deadline-driven, and able to manage complex processes or change initiatives.
  • Strong continuous improvement mindset.
  • Ability to collaborate across locations and cultures with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven track record in planning, execution, and implementation.
  • Knowledge of Business Continuity Management and Operational Resilience.
  • Technical experience in test planning and execution.
