Prestigious Fortune 500 Company is seeking a Unix Administrator that is a Software Developer at heart to design, provision and manage run-time platforms, fully automated continuous integration and deployment solutions.

We are looking for someone with solid programming skills in Python and Powershell with expertise working in a Unix large enterprise environment.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field
  • 8+ years of related professional experience
  • 5+ years of Unix Administration experience
  • 5+ years of experience developing solutions and managing environments that automate software deployment and configuration
  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering for both non-production and production environments
  • Proven Python and Powershell programming skills
  • Expertise in Linus platforms (Red Hat) and automated configuration management (Ansible)
  • Proven experience and knowledge of failover techniques, load balancing and business continuity (wide area resiliency)
  • Solid knowledge of application software deployment and orchestration techniques (yum)
  • Knowledge of software containerization (Docker)
  • Strong verbal and written facilitation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge and experience to complete all job responsibilities (listed below)

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain automation for the run-time environment for NDM solutions
  • Automate provisioning of computing, network and storage resources
  • Create and maintain the software deployment automation solution
  • Implement inventory management
  • Define, implement and facilitate interface solutions with enterprise service management systems
  • Provide leadership and subject matter expertise in deployment and operations
