AWE have exciting new opportunities for Systems Engineers with experience or looking to develop in the definition and development of products from cradle to grave.

Location: Reading

Salary: £29,640- £54,000

Closing Date: 24th June 2024

The Role?

As a Systems Engineer within our Warhead Engineering group, you will play a vital part in the definition and development of bespoke products within warhead systems. Essential candidate criteria for the role includes interest or experience in of the following;

Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)

Requirements capture processes.

Model-based System engineering

Stakeholder engagement

In addition to this, it would be advantageous for candidates to have interest, knowledge or experience in electronic design and product 'design to manufacture'. There are collaborative opportunities with our US and UK colleagues both overseas and at home.

Developing requirements for security-based products and systems

Defining product verification and validation criteria

Creating technical specifications with acceptance criteria for system and subsystems for use by design teams

Integration of products into wider systems

Safeguarding our nation by ensuring our deterrent is credible, effective and safe, today and into the future.

To be considered for the role, we require candidates to hold a degree qualification and/or extensive experience in electronic engineering, working in a similar environment and possess strong communication skills.
