AWS Security Engineer

ISO 27001, AWS DevOps, SecurityHub

A global leader in technology solutions for the real estate and property management industry are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AWS Security Engineer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of our client's AWS infrastructure, implementing best practices, and providing strategic guidance to mitigate security risks. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and manage security solutions that protect data and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage security architectures in AWS.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents and alerts.
  • Implement and manage AWS security services such as IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, and Security Hub.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to integrate security best practices into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide security training and awareness programs to internal teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, vulnerabilities, and technologies.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role focused on AWS security.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS security services and best practices.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Proficiency in Scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as NIST, CIS, and ISO 27001.
  • Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty, CISSP, or CEH are a plus.
