Endeavour Recruitment has an excellent contract opportunity for a large European Organisation based in Switzerland.

Full time, onsite in Geneva.

Required skills and experience:

  • Business/technical analysis, specifically translating user stories and solution design into individual work packages.
  • Ability to work with business process modelling software, workflow diagrams (Business Process Management and Notation 2.0 (BPMN 2) and data models.
  • Understanding of enterprise relational databases.
  • Knowledge of relevant technology stack, namely Java and including Oracle.
  • Knowledge of web-service based solutions and related technologies.
  • Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment, including related tools (eg Jira,).
  • Experience in quality assurance tasks, including creating and executing testing procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and to meet short deadlines.

A minimum of five years of demonstrated experience and successful performance in:

  • Business analysis for IT software application improvement and development projects.
  • IT system requirements and acceptance criteria creation.
  • Business process optimization and data workflow analysis.
  • Conducting user interviews and feedback sessions.
  • Participation in IT solution design process.
  • Operating in an Agile/Scrum environment, including related tools (eg Jira,).
  • Excellent knowledge of English

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of other languages (French and Spanish) or other UN official languages.
  • Knowledge of testing software (eg Qtest) and frameworks.

Role objective:

The main role of the consultant will be as follows:

  • Identify cause(s) of production issues and work with the various business and IT stakeholders to propose and implement timely solutions.
  • Analyse current business processes and propose enhancements that will increase efficiency, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Gather requirements and produce business specifications for improvements to internal processes and the current System.
  • Support the processing product line owner in prioritizing the backlog.
  • Gather requirements and produce business specifications for the new IT System

Tasks:

  • Perform root cause analysis on production issues and specify solutions.
  • Gather user requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, data analysis, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.
  • Liaise with business representatives, stakeholders, users and developers to ensure validity of inputs to business analysis tasks and to validate the results of any proposed changes.
  • Analyse business requirements and related solution designs to create required individual action tickets and clarify requirements as necessary through consultation with business representatives and solution
  • designers.
  • Assess and document impacts of proposed changes on processes, procedures, and data structures.
  • Perform work-flow analysis, documentation and optimization based on bottom-up analysis of existing documented business rules and transactions.
  • Produce functional and non-functional specifications necessary for implementation in line with target solutions.
  • Develop and document clear and unambiguous business requirements for IT enhancements, process.
  • improvements and components of the existing and the new IT System, including functional.
