Property Lease Manager (IFRS16 and Data Entry) required to work with a government department. This is an initial 24-month contract, inside IR35, £day rate is dependent on experience, hybrid working (remote working and onsite in London as required)

You will require active SC Clearance or be eligible for SC Clearance.

Summary:
Our client is creating a centralised lease management service, where a dedicated team of lease managers will enter data into the system and then quality assure and approve that data in the system.

This will improve the accuracy of the accounting outputs and assist the department to comply with cross government property standards. The service will also work with the Finance team to make corrections that arise from reconciliations within the accounting system.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of data on lease events so the hub has a clear plan of work
  • Proactive engagement with various teams in advance of lease events to ensure timely receipt of information.
  • Accurate and timely lease event data entry into the system.
  • Accurate and timely quality assurance and approval of all lease event data entry to enable monthly financial accounting closure of all IFRS16 liabilities and rights of use.
  • Both data inputting and data QA/approval, covering lease term dates, break options, rent reviews, extension options, rental amounts, and calculation of financial and accounting liabilities in accordance with IFRS16.
  • Updating the system to reflect changes in all lease liabilities (eg rent reviews, stepped rents, indexation events, lease renewals, terminations, and expiries).
  • Undertake the monthly trial closure of the IFRS16 accounts and then the final monthly close.
  • Working with finance colleagues to assist them in reconciling payments to ensure discrepancies are followed up on.
  • Provide quarterly forecasts of future IFRS16 liabilities.

Experience required:
  • Experience of working in a lease management role.
  • Experience of working in a data entry role.
  • Experience of IFRS16 accounting guidelines.
