Cost/Capacity Manager

6 month contract - June 2024 start - Day Rate inside of IR35 circa £450

Hybrid working - As you settle into the role you will need to be on site a few days a week in Central London to start (probably for the first month) then likely once a month thereafter for meetings

Candidates MUST be UK based

Role:

Build an Excel supply plan per platform (IKP and PCF) summarising rolling GBGFs capacity demand inputs by class of service, capacity guard rails by class of service, rolling capacity supply plans by class of service and forward gaps, impacts:

  • maintain an action plan to resolve gaps and mitigate impacts,
  • define/document process and data inputs to maintain and automate where possible (eg, feeds from Splunk), ensuring that others can maintain

Build an Excel multi-year cost book per platform (IKP and PCF) with a sub-book per cost/contract, summarised to calculate total annual costs (numerators), and sub-book per platform for allocated/forecasted volumes (see above), summarised to calculate annual volumes (denominator):

  • calculate platform recharge rates, reconcile actuals to the modelled costs, report the rate breakdown,
  • maintain an action plan to improve costs/rates,
  • define/document process and data inputs to maintain and automate where possible (eg, feeds from Splunk), ensuring that others can maintain.

Ensure that all investment options (initiatives) have justified costs and benefits, define/document process to maintain, ensuring that others can maintain.

Define/document methodology for valuing risks and problems.

Experience required to perform the role:

  • Strong Excel knowledge, ability to build multi-tab/workbook models, fed by external data sources, including Splunk (can extract data from Splunk).
  • Experience of creating cost models to determine total cost of ownership and recharge rates.
  • Experience of designing processes to manage the flow of data from other sources (typically csv, Excel, Splunk) to transform data from demand forecasts into supply plans and reports required by others to explain regional and per class of service cost breakdowns.
  • Ideally able to design/develop Splunk dashboards.
  • Excellent communicator, comfortable explaining financial concepts, cost allocations/distributions, and ratios.
