Web Digital Producer - Drupal 8 and/or 9

Based in Kensington, London

3 Month Contract

Hourly rate of £33.07 - 36.00 hours per week - Inside IR35

JOB PURPOSE:

The purpose of the role is to work on the end-to-end journey of a service to help users complete their goal through the creation of, or change to, a webpage, website, transaction or software application to make sure content is shown to a user in the right place and in the best format.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Take the leading role in the iterative design/development of user tasks, interaction and interfaces to meet user requirements, considering the whole user experience, refining the design solutions in response to user-centred evaluation.

  • To review and challenge business processes and recommend changes that maximise use of digital initiatives.

  • Support the Website Improvement Project team by deleting, condensing, curating, publishing and maintaining website content, ensuring it meets the Local Government Digital Service Standard (LGDSS), the Government Design Principles and Web Content Accessibility Standards.

Must have experience

  • Have recent experience (within the last 12 months) of working with Drupal 8 and/or 9.

  • Be an expert in the methods and techniques for eliciting the context of use, user needs, analysing context of use and generating user requirements.

  • Have experience in writing detailed briefs to commission new work with suppliers.

  • Have experience of scrum (Agile project management framework) to structure and manage their work.

  • Be familiar with Jira and other project management tools for representing system requirements, user stories and minimum acceptance criteria.

  • Have experience of managing and prioritising a product backlog of CMS or website features and functionalities through the iterative design and development process, to successful implementation and delivery.

  • Have a good understanding of usability and accessibility testing.

  • Show a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving and pays close attention to detail.
