Procurement FM Category Manager

We are seeking a talented and experienced Procurement FM Category Manager.

You will be responsible for strategically managing the acquisition of both technical and soft FM products and services on a European scale, owning the procurement process including RFP, RFQ, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic FM and MSP Suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the best terms and conditions
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and performance standards.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with FM procurement, including contractual, financial, and operational risks.
  • Oversee the creation and management of contracts for FM products and services.
  • Ensure that all FM procurement activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success and efficiency of FM procurement processes.
  • Provide guidance and training to procurement teams and stakeholders on FM procurement best practices.

Required Background:

  • Procurement, Strategic Sourcing & Category Management track record
  • Strong understanding of FM products and services, market trends, and Supplier landscape.
  • Commercially savvy with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and gain buy-in.
  • Excellent presentation skills for effective communication at all organizational levels
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field/Certification in procurement or supply chain management (eg, CSCP, CIPS) is a plus.
