We have a vacancy for an Accounts Assistant based at our Edinburgh office.
What you'll be doing:
* Check and/or record notifications of all unpaid cheques against bank statements * Mark off cheques drawn against bank statements, all lodgements, lists outstanding and prepares reconciliations * Maintain Accounts Department correspondence * Daily bank deposits * Compile information from BACS payments received via bank statement * Maintain debtor ledger cards for processing/typing * Prepare client printouts for typing and remit * Prepare fees transfer at end of month * Prepare suppliers BACS transfer file * Check client statements to ensure appropriate level of VAT charged * Prepare and process Nominal Ledger journal entries * Ensure the reconciliation of Client Control accounts monthly * Maintains monies in suspense account and lost paymentsWhat you'll need:

This is a full time role, 37.5 hours per week
Hours of work: Monday - Friday 08.30am to 5.00pm,
