IT Project Manager - Paris

An experienced IT Project Manager is required for one the world's largest E-commerce companies. The team is responsible for: project processes and planning, internal tools planning, internal user support and infrastructure. It is also responsible for Servers, global networks, global unified communications and employee hardware (PC/Mac/phones). This represents a total of more than 20,000 users worldwide.

As the IT Project Manager, you are responsible for project management and you ensure timely delivery, quality, and budget compliance.

What you will be doing:

  • Manage project from Planning to Closure
  • Implement and ensure that internal project processes are required; this includes project governance, risk management and change management.
  • Clarify roles and responsibilities
  • Collaborate with specific stakeholders all along the project, including helpdesk
  • Define project planning; gather estimates, negotiated dates and resources with stakeholders
  • Engage and Manage vendor/contractor when necessary
  • Enable and promote smooth communication between team members and between different teams (including outsourced teams)
  • Enable project documentation: organize documentation structure; employ existing, propose and design new templates as needed
  • Organize and facilitate meetings efficiently; create and distribute meetings minutes within 24 hours
  • Manage budget as required
  • Manage and report overall project schedule and status using the designated Project & Portfolio Management Tool
  • Promote project management
  • Escalate blockers, risks and issues
  • Actively contribute to improve existing processes and practices

Experience Required

  • MSc in technical engineering/computer science (or equivalent)
  • 5 years' experience in managing IT, Facility and Network Infrastructure projects
  • Proven experience with Post-Merger Integration projects
  • Excellent inter-personal skills, including the ability to influence others
  • Strong project management core competencies
  • Experience in managing technical teams
  • Analytical, process oriented and organized
  • Experience with modern project management tools
  • Prince2 or equivalent Project Management certifications
  • Systems Engineering background
