Additive Manufacturing Machine Operator

Summary/Purpose: As an Additive Manufacturing Machine Operator you will setup and operate a variety of machines to a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and set of work instructions in a Workorder (WO). Attendance at these meetings is required. Machine Operators will need to apply their training to achieve desired part deliveries with the highest personal safety and product quality while striving to constantly improve First Time Yield, On Tine Delivery and reduction of Product NonConformances. This will include the involvement and completion of quality improvement and Lean projects. Machine Operators will learn to operate every Workstation in the facility following a SOP. Job assignments may be rotated on a daily basis. Machine Operators will be asked to use their creativity to design, build, and assemble carts, trays, stands, and other equipment to support Workstation tooling, parts and equipment. Machine Operators will perform complicated layout operations to verify part dimensions and will use measuring tools and equipment ranging in size from small to large and in complexity from simple to very complicated. Maintain a neat, tidy and clean work area and perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications/Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Tech school is preferred. 2 Years experience in Manufacturing (Machine Operator/Machinist preferred). Ability to work overtime when required with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to (A) read and interpret blueprints and work instructions, (B) use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, vernier, calipers, etc. and (C) perform shop math calculations including fraction and decimal equivalents.
Willingness to work at a tobacco free site. Ability to work occasional weekend shift. Effective problem identification and solution skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to utilize a computer and/or other technological equipment as required.
