Internship Vehicle Performance Engineering - Develop a simulation mode

- Student in final year study of Master degree of engineering, with focus on simulation methodologies.
- Good command of Matlab scripting.
- Knowledge of vehicle and chassis system dynamics simulation packages (Carmaker/Amesim/Simpack/Adams) will be considered as an asset.
- Fluent in English.

The VPE-MBD team within R&D has the role of providing simulation models and virtual evaluation tools to the specific vehicle dynamics performance teams (handling, ride comfort, drivability, brake control), as well as defining more advanced performance indicators to support vehicle project development target setting.
Your project: Develop a simulation model for anisotropic bushing behaviour
Your mission will be to develop and validate an efficient lumped parameters model for toe correct bushing. These are suspension elements that improve handling performance, but are not easy to implement efficiently in simulation models. You will use virtual and physical testing results to evaluate main toe correction effects; then, you will build up on the capabilities of a high end multibody software to improve simulation of such bushing behaviour.

It is mandatory that applicants are students for the entire period of the internship. We can only accept students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium).
