Position Information
The Associate Chief Medical Officer, Psychiatry & Behavioral Health will work with the Executive Director of the Network for Advancing Behavioral Health and the Director of Behavioral Health Services to improve the care of patients with behavioral health disorders for WakeMed Health and Hospitals. The Associate Chief Medical Officer will cultivate collaboration and build consensus across diverse clinical and administrative stakeholders in order to develop and promote processes that provide superior care, lower costs and improve population health while supporting staff. Works with peers in leadership to contribute to the vision and strategic planning of the WakeMed system with diligence on Behavioral Health quality metrics and safety outcomes. Responsible for bringing the various providers and cultures together across all three enterprises as a unified team with common goals and standardized work. Position will serve 50% of the time in a clinical capacity with our consult liaison psychiatry team as a psychiatrist.
