Leads cardiac sonography team members by demonstrating and providing advanced knowledge of job responsibilities.

Detailed responsibilities:
Provides monitoring, coaching and evaluation of team members' performance, especially in the areas of productivity and quality management. Serves as a positive role model by working with team members to promote teamwork and cooperation.
Assists with coordinating services, prioritizing assignments and workflow, and promoting situational decision-making/problem solving.
Performs responsibilities of underlying job. Takes responsibility for, or provides guidance to team members on, the handling of complex or novel issues.
Oversees equipment quality control testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

PATIENT POSITIONING AND PROCEDURES - SONOGRAPHY/ECHOCARDIOGR: Performs imaging procedures on all anatomical areas of the body.
IMAGE PRODUCTION, ANALYSIS AND ARCHIVAL - SONOGRAPHY/ECHOCAR: Applies appropriate imaging factors, conducts image analysis and utilizes archival techniques.
PROBLEM SOLVING: Ability to identify, analyze and effectively solve problems.
PATIENT AND FAMILY CENTERED CARE: \"Provides Patient and Family Centered Care to patients, families, visitors and internal customers\"
CLINICAL POLICIES AND STANDARDS: Applies knowledge of clinical standards, policies, and procedures relevant to function and organization.

Accredited Program

Education specialization:
Ultrasound Technologist

American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
BLS Certification

Education equivalent experience:
Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program

Other information:
Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Required Work Experience: 2 years of echocardiography experience.
