Plan, administer, and promote a complete intramural program including flag football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, and softball leagues.Coordinate fitness class programs to include a variety of formats offered during the fall, spring and summer semesters.Recruit, hire, train, schedule and supervise student worker and temporary employee staff including fitness class instructors, intramural referees, and interns.Assist in program administration and promotion of wellness education activities, including the annual Health & Wellness Fair.Assist in recreational sport event management including setup, execution and tear down of tournaments, outdoor recreation and passive recreation events.Assist in maintenance of the HPE dance studio, including regular facility and equipment checks, and coordination of maintenance or repairs for equipment.Market all recreation programs through print materials and electronic communication.Align all recreation programs and procedures to industry standards.Maintain all necessary equipment inventories.Maintain active membership in and attend LCIRSA and NIRSA conferences, meetings and tournaments.Establish learning outcomes, collect participation data, and measure results and trends.Prepare reports, correspondence, and other responses related to student programming and events.Identify and execute grant-funding applications for equipment upgrades.Coordinate special projects and assume administrative duties as assigned by the Director.Work with Director on development, assessment and enforcement of policies and procedures.Assist in the maintenance of budgets for assigned areas.Cultivate collaborative programs and opportunities with faculty, staff, students, and other community partners that contribute to student's engagement, education, and retention.Work with Director to develop long and short-term strategic goals, which are in alignment and support of the Division of Student Development's strategic direction.Perform other administrative duties as assigned.Evening and some weekend hours required. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from accredited institution in recreation, kinesiology, sports administration, physical education, or related field. One year of professional experience or two years of graduate assistant experience developing intramural programming in a collegiate recreation setting. Strong leadership and supervision abilities, good communication skills (written and oral) and strong team building skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise personnel and provide guidance to other staff and students. Experience in planning, supervision, budgeting and management preferred. Must acquire and maintain CPR/AED/First Aid certification within three months of hire. Must be available for irregular hours, extended workdays and on call emergencies.
