Lecturer - Information Technology and Supply Chain Management - 15767 ATTENTION: The Department of Information Technology and Supply Chain Management in the College of Business and Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater has a full time Instructional Academic Staff opening beginning August, 2020. This is a full-time position with responsibilities for teaching undergraduate courses in supply chain management, and service to the university and community. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications: M.B.A. from an AACSB accredited institution or relevant Masters of ScienceAcademic background should include courses in supply chain management, transportation management or quantitative/operations research methods Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated commitment to teaching with an emphasis on promoting the success of undergraduate students, and serving as active member of the university communityThe ability to teach a variety of undergraduate courses in supply chain management is requiredAbility to interact respectfully with people from diverse socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgroundsWillingness and ability to be an active participant in following applicable safety rules and regulations including necessary training and drillsCandidates ability to develop industry partnerships is preferredSalary is commensurate with academic preparation and experience RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Teaching undergraduate courses in the supply chain management domain such as supply chain analytics, transportation and operations planning 2. Instructors serve as advisors/mentors to students and are encouraged to engage students in undergraduate research or other scholarly and creative activities 3. Service responsibilities include committee service at the departmental, college, and university levels as well as participation in community organizations as relevant to the candidate's expertise and interest 4. Instructors at UW-W may be required to teach traditional, online, and/or in a hybrid format, or courses in the evenings or on weekends 5. Instructors may also elect to teach New Student Seminar or University Learning Communities, or participate in other programs geared toward improving to student success 6. Help in developing a transportation area within the curriculum DEPARTMENT INFORMATION: The Department of Information Technology and Supply Chain Management () is one of the seven departments in the College of Business and Economics (). There are 19 full-time faculty and staff members supporting nearly 400 undergraduate majors and 100 undergraduate minors with emphases in business analysis, data analytics, networking and security, and project management. The College of Business and Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater is the largest business school in the state of Wisconsin. The College enrolls over 4,700 business undergraduate students with over 30 majors/emphases in the 2017-18 academic year. Graduate programs offered include Masters of Business Administration (with 11 unique emphases), Masters of Professional Accountancy, Masters of Science in Finance, Masters in Environmental Safety and Health, and Doctorate of Business Administration.
