POSITION TITLE: CONTRACTUAL PSYCHIATRIC PROVIDER SUPERVISOR:HEALTH CLINIC DIRECTOR SALARY: DOQ/DOE NATURE OF WORK: This an on-site contract outpatient position under the direct supervision of the Health Clinic Director. The Psychiatric provider will complete psychiatric evaluations, diagnose, treat, and make appropriate referrals for mental health clients in need of psychiatric medication management. This position will also provide education to family members and the community at large, collaborate with outside collaterals as needed, act as a consultant for other providers at the health clinic and work closely with the Behavioral Health department. REPRESENTATIVE JOB DUTIES: 1. Evaluations, screening, and follow-up as needed to accommodate individuals' needs for psychiatric medications. 2. Makes follow-up referrals for labs/additional testing and submits/responds to consults for appropriate care coordination. 3. Works closely with all other providers at the Skokomish Health Clinic. 4. Carries a caseload of participants. 5. Provides psychoeducation and consultations for families, community, and other providers. 6. Coordinates prescriptions and refills. 7. Utilizes universal precautions in delivering comprehensive care, in addition to abiding by clinic policies. 8. Monitor participant compliance with recommended treatment and make adjustments, recommendations, and reports accordingly. 9. Establishes and maintains working relationships with outside collaterals (families, school personnel, social workers, probation officers, etc.). 10. Completes all clinical documentation in a timely manner in Electronic Health Record (RPMS). 11. Assists with planning and program development. Facilitates presentations and classes, if/when necessary. 12. Maintains professional standards as required by state, federal, and local laws and regulations, including abiding by HIPAA. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Psychiatric ARNP or higher. and actively licensed in the state of Washington to practice as a provider. 2. One (1) year or more experience in providing psychiatric care. Preferred experience in working with Native American population. 3. Experience working with electronic health records. 4. Ability to work varied hours or weekends if/when necessary to accomplish the goals of the behavioral health services department. 5. Candidate must have a valid driver's license and be eligible for the Tribe's automobile insurance. 6. Candidate must have an understanding of and sensitivity to the particular problems faced by the Native American community. 7. Must be able to work as a part of an interdisciplinary team. 8. Possession of a valid First Aid/CPR Card or ability to obtain certification within 30 days after beginning employment. 9. The selected candidate must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen test, and a complete background investigation, including relevant criminal history, prior to employment.
