(Salary placement depends on qualifications and budget constraints) Plus 100% paid PERS (defined benefit) retirement, health insurance, vacation and sick leave Applications are invited for the full-time position of a CC Communications Information Technology Technician. The level of I, II or III would be determined by certifications, qualifications and experience. Working in the IT Department an IT Technician III is responsible for providing technical software, hardware, network and system problem solutions to all users in a professional and timely manner. Designing, analyzing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining applications systems and programs using a variety of approaches are primary duties. This position also handles escalations and high priority problems to resolution. Works with vendors and maintenance providers to service and maintain various systems. Must be self-starter and have the ability to work with 90% autonomy and show a willingness to learn new skills. Duties include but are not limited to: Provide call in phone support service on all customer equipment and applications. Provide helpdesk and on-site support to all customers. Assist in maintaining 24/7 automated alarm alert systems. Prepares and analyzes statistics on network utilization and availability. Monitor all backup schedules and perform routine data audits. Firewall, VPN, Data services and bandwidth report generation. Attend training to maintain or obtain certifications. The following qualifications are those for an IT Technician III. A CC Communications application and resume must be submitted. Successful candidate may be subject to a drug/alcohol test and a criminal background check. QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of training, education and experience that would provide the required skills, knowledge and abilities needed to perform the assigned duties of the position. A typical way to acquire the required skills, knowledge and abilities is: Completion of the requirements forBachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in computer science, information technology, business administration, or a closely related discipline andAt least six years of progressively responsible work experience, which relates to the duties of this position, i.e., providing technical support to local and/or wide area networks, installing and/or support network equipment and software, etc.Completion of credits above those required for Bachelor's Degree may substitute for three years of the required experienceCurrent certifications in CompTIA A+ Network + Security +Experience with the following operating systems is required:Windows 7/8/10Windows Server 2012/2016/2019Macintosh OSXRedhat Linux Enterprise ServerExperience with the following hardware is preferred:Personal computer troubleshooting and repairInternet connectivity troubleshooting and repairServer configuration and troubleshootingRouter, switch, firewall configuration and troubleshootingWorking Knowledge of:TCP/IPMicrosoft Active DirectoryMicrosoft SQL ServerMicrosoft SharePoint ServerMobile Operating SystemsVMWare ProductsCitrix ServerRedhat Enterprise Linux Server Installation and Administration APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Application materials are available at CC Communications, 50 W.
