We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our team in Tolleson, Arizona. Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing Quality Assurance, the QA Manager oversees and leads food safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance programs for the Tolleson, Arizona facility. Essential Duties: ·Develop, manage and maintain the food safety and quality assurance programs to include: SQF, HACCP,SOP's, SSOP's, pest control, 3rd party audits, sanitation chemical control, product/ingredient/environmental microbiological sampling and proper labeling of all units and master cases. ·Develop, organize and administer all training of personnel in food safety and quality programs and specifications including, HACCP, SQF, and GMPs. ·Manage Product Cutting process to ensure compliance with customer specifications. ·Execute SQF plan to maintain Level 3 certification. Serve as primary site contact for SQF, federal, state, or county audits. Manage all aspects of the 3rd party audit process including correspondence and corrective actions. ·Ensure SK Food Group meets or exceeds all regulatory compliance obligations (FDA, USDA, State, labeling, weights and measures, etc.). Actively communicate with on-site USDA inspectors to ensure compliance with all regulations. ·Ensure HACCP compliance, training and reviews are maintained as required. Lead HACCP team. ·Manage the "Hold and Release" programs for finished goods and incoming products, and waste and donation processes to ensure appropriate action and results are attained.Work closely with scheduling, production and logistics to reduce and/or eliminate expired goods and wasted/donated products. ·Work closely with R&D and OPS on all pilot runs to include data collection and analysis, MPS (manufacturing processing specification) development and Finished Good specification development. ·Manage and execute Pre Operational Visual Inspection and ATP pre-operational testing program. ·Manage and maintain environmental microbiological sampling program. ·Understand product flow and traceability functionality with the ERP System (Sage X3). ·Lean and Maintain QA (Plant level) functionality within the ERP System (Sage X3). ·Manage 3rd party pest control firm. ·Manage departmental budget. ·Monitor incoming ingredients and collect necessary data for non-conformance claims. ·Manage investigations, responses and corrective actions for plant quality complaints. ·Work closely with R&D and Maintenance Systems on new products, processes, and equipment that meet or exceed SK Food Group food safety requirements, reduce product variability and improve cost performance. ·Recommend capital expenditures for food safety and quality assurance improvements. ·Other duties as assigned.
