We are seeking a self-motivated, thorough, disciplined and perceptive individual to serve in the role of Business Analyst for the Pima County Information Technology Department (ITD). This person will primarily support an enterprise wide system and be responsible for all system needs including: accepting patches & corresponding non-production testing before movement to production, adding new modules and features, performing system upgrades, keeping up to date on and proactively exploring new features and enhancements, maintaining and creating SOPs for system processes and tasks, communicating with technical and business teams, advanced system troubleshooting and issue resolution, managing small to medium projects and other relevant duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Four years of experience in business process analysis or computer hardware, software or database development, maintenance or testing. Preferred Qualifications (Be specific in describing your experience in your application. Ensure the descriptions provided illustrate your competencies, specifically addressing the required and preferred qualifications.): Three (3) years of experience delivering new features, patches and bug fixes for applications of significant size or complexity.Two (2) years of experience delivering solutions in a deadline-driven environment.Two (2) years of experience delivering solutions in environments with change management processes.One (1) year of education or experience in either system configuration changes, application development, system administration or other work of a similar technical nature.Three (3) years of experience with business and technical process documentation.
Pima County Human Resources Department reserves the right to admit to the selection process only those candidates that meet the minimum/desired qualifications. Valid driver license is required at time of application. Valid AZ driver license is required at time of appointment. The successful applicant will be subject to a 39-month DOT Motor Vehicle Record review to determine applicant's suitability to operate county vehicles in accordance with Pima County administrative procedures. Failure to obtain and maintain the required licenses and certifications shall be grounds for termination. Any offer of employment resulting from this recruitment is contingent upon Fleet Services' review and approval of the candidate's driving record.
