HCA Nurse ResidencyProgram (Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit)

StaRN Program (12 weeks total):

Our StaRN Program willprovide you with the tools necessary to succeed in today s hospitalenvironment. It will help you transition out of the classroom setting and ontothe unit by providing the following training:
  • 5 weeks classroom, self-study,skills & simulations
  • 7 weeks preceptorship
  • Certifications: ECG,TeamSTEPPS, BLS/ACLS, CPI
After StaRN, you willtransition into our Professional Development Residency:
  • 9 month program factored into afull time position on the unit
  • You will learn Charge Nurse andPreceptor skills
  • You will collaborate with amentor to complete an evidence based Capstone Project (4 hours a month)
  • Your project has an opportunityto gain recognition by corporate for further recognition

Additional Informationabout our Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit:
  • You will work in a 36-bed unit
  • Our facility has an on-site 3,000 square foot inpatient therapy gym including state of the art recovery equipment such as the Bioness BITS, Bioness L300 and L200, Bioness Vector, Armeo Spring, Saebo, Nustep, SciFit, and Vital Stim
  • Our team provides care to patients with physical limitations due to stroke, trauma, spinal cord injuries, orthopedic injuries and surgery, amputations, chronic pain, cardiac and pulmonary disorders, and other neurological and musculoskeletal conditions
  • If you love getting to know your patients and building rapport, then this unit will enable you to do that while also giving you experience with a variety of skills that make a great nursing foundation.

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school within the past 6 months- BSN preferred
  • Applicants may apply and be offered position prior to passing NCLEX exam
  • Previous nursing support or service industry experience preferred
  • Self-motivated and strong communication skills required
