Position Information
The Nurse Practitioner will function under the supervision and direction of a physician in the Rheumatology Program and the Director for the APP staff and will provide care for general inpatients. In addition, works with the Medical Director and other physicians within the group to provide continuous and comprehensive management of a broad range of personal health services for the patient population at WakeMed, including the medical care, primary teaching and coordination of follow up services of the hospitalized patients. The Nurse Practitioner will deliver competent medical care to the population. The position may also function as an educator and preceptor for students from health care programs. The nurse practitioner should understand the needs of the organization and supports the mission, values, and management of WakeMed Physicians.

Experience Requirements :
2 Years Nursing - Related Area Preferred

Education Required :
Master's Degree Nursing Required

Licensure/Certification Requirements :
Certified Nurse Practitioner And Registered Nurse And Basic Life Support And Neonatal Resuscitation Program And Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required

Hours of Work : M-F 8am - 5pm
Weekend Requirements : No Weekends
Call Requirements : per service line policy
