Position Information
The Nurse Practitioner, under the supervision and direction of the WPP OB/GYN attending physicians, will provide care to patients who present and/or who are sent to the OBED from outside offices. The NP will collect the medical history and perform appropriate physical exams in addition to ordering appropriate laboratory studies and when needed and based on sound clinical judgement, will prescribe medications. If the patient is admitted, the NP will write admitting orders either to L&D or to the antepartum service. The NP will also function as an educator and preceptor for APP and medical students as well as residents from area healthcare education programs. The NP understands the needs of the organization and supports the mission, values, and management of WakeMed Physician Practices.

2 Years Nursing - Related Area Required

Education Required :
Master's Degree Nursing Required

Licensure/Certification Requirements :
Registered Nurse And Certified Nurse Practitioner Required

Hours of Work : 40 hours per week
