The Global Retail Markets Claims team is hiring for a Consultant, Advanced Analytics on our Claims Portfolio Management team. This team has 3 key responsibilities: intake & prioritization, project management best practices, and flexible resources that support projects across Claims. In this position you will work on rotational assignments across top priority Claims projects. Past assignment examples include analyzing Auto appraisal proof of concepts, crafting test kitchens, assessing process performance, and much more.
In this role you will
Work on short-term, flexible, dynamic assignments to drive success in achieving business goal
Collaborate with business partners across the organization to support
Communicate and collaborate across a wide range of internal teams
Independently manages the end-to-end creation, project management and execution of moderate to high complexity analysis across various business units/functions in Claims.
Identifies and monitors business trends and issues to provide recommendations to senior management.
Based on analysis, develops reports, proposals for action or implementation plans as necessary and presents to management. Communicates with other departments as necessary.
Collaborate across the Claims organization to estimate and quantify the impacts of key initiatives. Drive projects to execution and implement a robust plan for measuring success.
Monitor and measure results relative to planned and forecasted outcomes to validate recommendations.
Present analysis on a regular basis to various leadership teams.
Performs or coordinates special projects and ad hoc analyses as requested.
Coaches/mentors less experienced analysts.
Bachelor's Degree required. MS or comparable professional/technical experience in a quantitative field strongly preferred.
Minimum 5+ years, typically 7 or more years, of related experience required; experience in finance, planning, reporting, project management or other analytical roles preferred.
Demonstrated project management of moderately complex projects involving data and/or reporting.
Strong analytical, problem solving, modeling, and decision-making skills.
Proven track record of working with large/complex datasets or willingness and strong desire to learn.
High level of proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SAS and data manipulation (SQL).
Effective verbal and written communication skills for exchanging information across multiple levels of management.
Experience with Power BI or similar database tools preferred.
