Workers' Compensation Claims Support Supervisor

We have an exciting opportunity with our Workers Compensation Claims team as a Workers Compensation Claims Support Supervisor.
This is a great opportunity for a motivated professional with workers compensation claims experience to supervise a unit of claims support staff to ensure overall quality and efficiency of the claims support work product.
ABOUT YOUR JOB:
Manage a claims support unit in the performance of their daily activities for the Claims Department. Organize the team workload, assign projects and manage resources and results. Set performance expectations, team and individual goals and timelines in alignment with department management. Provide regular feedback and coaching to team members. Mentor and develops staff to further their skills, knowledge and professional practice; creates and monitors development plans. Provide organization and skill development for new team members. Prepare and conduct performance evaluations. Ensure staffing coverage for the team is available to support customer needs. Hire, fire, prepare disciplinary actions and other managerial responsibilities for his/her direct reports. Prepare for and conduct team meetings and training sessions. Review work for accuracy, quality, and completeness ensuring assignments are delivered according to established schedules. Assign work to meet completion dates. Create workflows and accountabilities specific to the needs of the Claims product. Train claims support staff on all procedures. Monitor workflow and quality of all support staff. Conduct audits of assigned staff. Provide senior management with statistical reports. Communicate with insureds and agents with case updates when necessary.
Strong understanding of Insurance Claims principles. 1-2 year Claims Support Supervisory experience or 3-4 years in a Lead position. 1-3 years of customer service type experience. Excellent verbal and written communications skills, time management and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and ability to multi task. Team player with a strong urgency for execution.
