Optimise are working with a reputable and rapidly growing construction company known for their innovative projects, commitment to excellence, and strong client relationships. With a track record of both winning exciting new projects and maintaining their existing client base, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Finance Manager to lead their finance team through a phase of process transformation and growth.

As the Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in introducing new financial processes and procedures to enhance their operational efficiency and accuracy. You will oversee a team of two staff members who will provide transactional support.

Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement new financial processes and procedures tailored to the construction industry's unique requirements.

* Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts

* Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing and reconciliations.

* Manage and mentor a team of two staff members, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.

* Generate timely and accurate financial reports, forecasts, and analyses to support decision-making at both the operational and strategic levels.

* Play a key role in the annual budgeting and financial planning processes, providing insights and recommendations.

* Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and regulations.

* Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve financial processes.

Qualifications:

* Proven experience (3+ years) in financial management within the construction industry or a related field.

* Knowledge of HMRC procedures for VAT and CIS

* Previous experience in process improvement, change management, and system implementation.

* Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.

* Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel.

* Effective communication skills to collaborate with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
