1ST LINE Support Engineer
PERMANENT
£22,000 - £25,000
LOCATION - CHIPPENHAM
37.5 HOURS PER WEEK

You will be an IT Support Engineer with 1-2 years of service desk/Desktop support experience or be looking to progress from an entry level IT background, with a methodical approach to problem-solving who has an enthusiastic "can do" attitude.

You have ambition and a growth mindset so you will be keen to learn, progress and are willing to study to become an exceptional technical professional.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Exceptional customer service skills and telephone manner
* Some experience of working on a service desk
* Experience working with 3rd party software/solution providers
* Desktop support experience
* Familiarity with laptop and desktop builds
* Active Directory Administration (passwords, users, groups, permissions)
* Office 365 Administration (passwords, users, groups, permissions)
* Laptop/PC diagnostics, upgrades and repair

MAIN DUTIES
* Ensuring that all communications to the Service Desk, phone calls, and emails are answered promptly and in a professional and courteous manner
* Responding to requests for support by identifying, logging and categorising incidents
* Resolve issues at first contact using standard operating procedures and knowledge base
* Troubleshooting and resolving basic technical issues
* Ensuring customers are provided with regular updates, and progression is made in line with Service Level Targets
* Ensuring that all actions and diagnostics performed are recorded accurately in the Service Management Tool
* Building, installation and configuration of computer hardware and software
