Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Manchester (Hybrid 2 days in office)
Duration: Permanent
Salary: up to £50,000

To work for a company that offers engineering, procurement, and construction services to a variety of industries, including mining and metallurgy, environment and water, infrastructure, and sustainable energy, iO Associates is seeking a quantity surveyor.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Estimating and budgeting costs for the duration of your projects.
  • generating budget assessments and projections for a variety of industries.
  • Gather information, evaluate it, and determine our stakeholders' and clients' needs.
  • Generate value-for-money analysis and benchmarking reports by defining and identifying trends and cost drivers.
  • Make sure the data that is reported is correct and updated.
  • Encourage innovation both on the customer side and within our business.
  • Assist with or oversee the creation of tools that combine outputs, dashboards, and data to illustrate unit cost assessments.
  • Communicate with cross-functional teams to generate concepts for ongoing enhancement.

Skills you bring to the table:

  • Familiar with commercial roles and functions for large capital programmes.
  • Experience with common forms of UK Construction contracts such as NEC, FIDIC and JCT.
  • Ideally experience working with National Highways or Network Rail
