Risk and Governance Manager

Our client is looking for highly skilled Risk and Governance Manager to join their Wythall team for a 6 months initial contract.

Occasional travel to office required

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and facilitate appropriate reviews of the Third Party Management Risk Policy and supporting Framework on an annual basis.
  • Develop and embed the operational risk and control framework for Commercial Partnerships, ensuring monthly challenge and analysis of control environment is conducted, and input to the Group Wide Risk Appetite is delivered successfully.
  • Act as a centre of excellence for coordination of the use of the risk management tool to support the effective operation of the RMF within Operations, delivering support to the management team for risk and control associated activity.
  • Support the embedding of the Governance Framework for suppliers.
  • Coordinate the production of regular Management Information to the clients Corporate Governance Committees in order to ensure effective and robust oversight across the client.
  • Develop and embed an appropriate overview of Board reporting activity for Commercial Partnerships, ensuring robust oversight is in place of all deliverables.
  • Oversight of the Audit Actions Management Framework across the client ensuring effective analysis and problem solving for any specific hotspot areas, forecasting audit position and acting an audit role model across the business.
  • Support the function in the identification, recording and management of operational risks.
  • Lead on regulatory interactions impacting Commercial Partnerships, ensuring actions are captured and tracked and that appropriate controls are in place to minimise regulatory exposure.

Essential

  • The ability to react quickly and appropriately to unforseen challenges and issues.
  • Knowledge of the current regulations and industry best practice impacting third party risk management.

Desirable

  • Experience working within a regulated business.
