SUMMARY: To effectively supervise the day-to day operations of the Promotions department and ensure communication and coordination within all areas of Promotions as well as other departments. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise the coordination of promotions, special events and holiday events including but not limited to Pull Tab events, 50+ Day and monthly drawings
- Assist with the organization, implementation and planning of all promotions adhering to established timeframes
- Schedule, train, coach, and evaluate staff and conduct performance reviews
- Direct daily work activities and ensure conformance to standards
- Generate necessary material requests, check requests and support material to ensure all invoices are paid promptly
- Provide promotion and special event attendance reports to management and Accounting
- Work with vendors on gift selection and purchase

KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge and Certification
Required:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- 3 years hospitality or customer service experience
- 1 year supervisory experience

Skills
Required:
- Accurate and detail-oriented
- Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Strong computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Windows XP
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent problem solving skills

Required:
- Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene
- Ability to independently complete multiple tasks in a professional manner
- Ability to serve both internal and external customers
- Ability to manage departmental budget and control labor and expenses

REQUIRED TRAINING
- Treasure Island guest service training
- Department computer software
- TIPS training and certification
- Effectively Handling Harassment training
- Any position-related training as determined by department manager

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time with moderate amounts of walking and standing
- Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel
- Must be able to reach and twist routinely
- Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely
- Must have the ability to independently lift up to 10 pounds occasionally Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
- Must have good eye hand coordination

WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- Office, restaurant, gaming floor and convention center environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke and outdoors for guest events
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
- Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
- High volume direct public contact
