Job Title: Sub Station Electrical Engineer
Location: Scotland (Kilmarnock/Glasgow)
Salary/Rate: 40-60k per annum
Start Date: 01/04/2024
Job Type: Permanent

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

The primary role of a Sub-Station Electrical Engineer is to carry out electrical wiring work, ie installing the cables, wires, conductors and connectors required to connect a device

1. Stop and report any situation that you deem to be a danger to yourself or others. Report immediately any hazardous conditions to those responsible and keep records of all such inspections and hazards.
2. Installation of cable ducts, cable containment and components,
3. Assist commissioning engineers on modification of high voltage distribution systems such as switch-gear panels, transformers and relays
4. Carry out the earthing of electrical installations to ensure safety of people and equipment
5. Understand circuit diagrams, drawings and perform troubleshooting
6. Assemble and install electrical panels, wire harnesses, and other electrical equipment

Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:

1. Knowledge of AC and DC systems
2. English B2
3. Clean driving license
4. Medium and High Voltage experience is plus
6. Working experience of wiring regulations and interpreting engineering line diagrams.

Desirable Skills/Experience
Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:

1. RECI or ECSSA certified electrician, Electrical Substation experience is a plus
2. Craft card
