SALARY & BENEFITS: £10.49 per hour
WORKING HOURS: 2 days per week (Wednesday and Thursday, 14 hours), 38 weeks per year

We strive to develop every learner's unimagined potential with a personalised study programme. The curriculum is underpinned by a range of accredited qualifications and RARPA Non-accredited study. We deliver a specialised sensory curriculum for learners with more complex needs.
THE ROLE: We are looking for a BSL (British Sign Language) Communication Support Worker to provide crucial and flexible communication support to our learners and learning and teaching staff on a daily basis, to ensure students can access all aspects of our education programmes.
You will work alongside our key departments and therapists to assess the needs of our learners, and use your creative approach to adapt learning and teaching materials to support a learner's individual learning style and requirements.
You will also deliver directed learning to small groups or on a 1:1 basis, and support the college through co-delivery of deaf-awareness training. You will be required to support the student recruitment process through communication support for potential learners visiting the college and attend multi-disciplinary meetings.
THE CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate for the BSL Communications Support Worker will have a BSL Level 2 and be competent in communication. You will also have Maths and English Functional Skills at Level 2 or GCSE Grade C or a willingness to work towards within an agreed timescale.

• BSL Level 2
• Appropriate qualification in learning support e.g. Level 2 Certificate in Learning Support or equivalent qualification or a willingness to work towards
