Job Summary:
The Controller will be responsible for
accounting operations, including the production of financial
reports, maintenance of accounting records and a comprehensive set
of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk and comply with
generally accepted accounting principles. This position will
have direct supervisory responsibility of AR/AP function and
staff.
Job Responsibilities:

Preparation of monthly financial statements
Support fiscal year end closing process
Support ongoing AR/AP functions ensuring completion in a timely
manner
Work with outside tax accountant to ensure timely compliance
with 1099, tax and other filing requirements
Perform monthly bank reconciliations, account reconciliations,
monthly accruals and adjusting entries
Fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules
Weekly, monthly and ad-hoc reporting to support management,
sales and production teams
Continuous process improvement including recommending and
implementing changes to the ERP system and accounting
practices
Cost accounting including standard cost roll, costing new
products, calculating labor and overhead rates, and monthly
absorption entries
Facilitate regular cycle counting and year-end physical
inventory
Complete or assist with 401K, insurance and other necessary
business forms and programs
Work with Sales management to determine necessary price
increases to maintain margins
Sales forecasting and material requirement forecasting
For all direct reports, complete new hire
90-day, monthly check-in and annual reviews on time
Through continuing education and training,
comply with all OWH Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and
Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and maintain a clean
and orderly work area

Required Skills and/or
Experience:

A bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5-years
of proven accounting manager experience
Experience with general ledger functions,
account reconciliations and month end/year end close
process
Advanced MS Excel experience including
Vlookup, pivot tables, etc. is required
SQL and business intelligence experience is a
plus
Experience in working with Sage X3 or similar
ERP systems preferred
Manufacturing background is a plus
Must be organized, analytical, creative and be a problem
solver
Must be able to perform the essential
functions of the job with or without accommodation
US Citizenship or Permanent Resident (Green
Card) required
