An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client Leading Global FMCG company with Brands such as Dove, Knorr, Persil & Magnum are currently looking for a Junior Developer based at their prestigious facility at their Research and Development site at Port Sunlight. This is a full-time temporary role for a period of 6 to 6 months, working a 37.5-hour week. This role is paying between £20,010 - £22,233 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.



We are looking for a Junior IT Developer to help delivery of our clients Digital Transformation agenda. To remain competitive in the future, the business needs to continue its path to become data intelligent. The Hair Care R&D division is rapidly expanding the use of digital tools for building data, data science and analytics to help drive business and organization performance.



JOB PURPOSE

The job holder will support development of O365 R&D digital applications within the Hair category Process Development Team to help facilitate business operations that deliver high quality product innovations within the Hair Care category programmes.

You will work closely with R&D scientists/engineers, pilot plant technicians, and senior management to understand business processes, gather requirements and develop low-code applications with a variety of Office 365 Power Platform clients and on premises SharePoint environments. As part of the Digital Transformation you will also help pioneer skills development within our user communities by providing guidance and support, as well as training sessions.



KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/ DELIVERABLES

1. Support information gathering through stakeholder interviews and workshops to input into digital project programme

2. Input in decision making to determine best solutions and approaches for projects

3. Build and configure solutions using features

4. Prototyping and proof of concept development

5. Consult on business best practices for ongoing change release management and support

6. Identify opportunities to enhance structuring of data for the application of data science



SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

Required

* Practical experience / interest in coding.

* Innovative and practical hands-on approach to problem solving.

* Self-starter who will thrive in a learning environment supporting business processes whilst contributing to the pioneering application of digital tools and services

* Good communication and interpersonal skills

* Comfortable with stakeholder management/influencing

* Able to follow Business processes

* Works in a methodical way



Desirable

* Interest / experience in data analytics modelling / techniques

* Experience in industrial process automation

* Knowledge of the features of SharePoint and Office 365, especially Power Platform (PowerBI, PowerApps and Flow)
