To work with the best. Kirby Group Engineering are presently seeking an EHS graduate to be based in our Dublin office, learning from our experienced EHS team, on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to begin an extraordinary career with one of the largest specialist Mechanical and Electrical construction companies in Ireland. The successful graduate EHS Adviser will have the opportunity to get involved in leading-edge projects whilst learning the necessary skills to become a successful EHS Adviser.
Provide additional administrative support to existing onsite EHS Advisor(s) on large projects.
Provide EHS Advise and coordinate all EHS Matters and to report constructively all EHS matters to the Site teams.
The Graduate EHS Advisor will be coached and mentored directly by an EHS Advisor for 2 years.
Providing assistance and support to existing onsite EHS Advisor(s) which will include maintaining records (electronically and hard copy), document control and revision updating, maintenance of registers, plant & equipment checks, monitoring of training records, etc.
The EHS Advisor will be site based, and from time to time will visit various projects to ensure that the Kirby EHS management systems for all the projects in this region are implemented and maintained.
Provide advice, guidance, instruction, and training in all EHS matters to management, safety representatives and employees (including where applicable to sub-contractors, suppliers, and visitors to sites).
Carry out inductions, toolbox talks, audits, inspections.
Participate in incident investigation reports, establishes corrective and preventive actions to prevent reoccurrence and continuous improvements.
Prepare in conjunction with the site teams EHS Plans, RAMS, and other associated site documents.
Minimum Certificate to NVQ 6 in Occupational H&S.
No experience required, though some construction experience would be a distinct advantage
Full Driving License
Ability to work with teams.
Up to date with Legislation, Guidance, Advice, and Compliance.
IT Proficient – Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and E-Mail
Applicants should be calm, patient and assertive, with excellent negotiation, communication, analytical and interpersonal skills. Relevant scientific or technical work experience (either paid or voluntary) can be beneficial. Additionally, advisers should be physically fit, IT literate and capable of acquiring and applying detailed legal, technical and regulatory information
