Business Development Manager - Geotechnics & Built Environment

UK, ideally close to Stockport

£35,000 - £45,000 + Commission + Car allowance

Our client specialises in engineering simulation and digital twin technologies to help their clients optimise their designs and manage risk within their projects. They are currently looking for an ambitious and dedicated Business Development Manager. You will join an established team of commercial and technical staff. Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director, your main focus will be sales of our products and services related to the built environment, including managing a large number of accounts that they have developed over the last 20 years.

The successful candidate would be the channel partner in which you'll be responsible for the growth of our client's geotechnical software (within civil and energy industries).

You will also be encouraged to sell their simulation and risk management solutions such as wind engineering, seismic analysis, building physics and control system assessment.

To be successful you will need experience selling within the civil engineering industry or related.

Essential Skills:

New business generation

An understanding of the application of engineering simulation or complementary digital technologies within the built environment or related sectors.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present solutions clearly and convincingly to both large and small, technical and non-specialist, audiences at a senior level.

Self-motivation and the drive to exceed sales targets.

Team-player who can work effectively with commercial and technical colleagues.
