One of the biggest and most widely known brands in the automotive aftermarket are expanding. Due to this expansion, an exciting new role for a business development manager has arisen. Worked in the automotive parts market? – this role could be for you!

THE ROLE OF A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER:

As a business development manager, you will be responsible for your own territory, ranging across the South West of England (full area list below) with your primary objective to increase growth and success within it.

Dealing with a varied customer base consisting of both distributors and their end users you will have an existing client portfolio to account manage effectively and build greater customer relationships.

Managing your own diary and journey plan, you will work closely with the sales director to pursue the overall sales strategy and will employ various tools in your possessions to achieve success such as end user workouts. Alongside general sales, you will liaise closely with internal teams to ensure that any customer requests are actioned, complete end user workouts and attend trade shows.

This is a hands-on role where you will interact with a variety of customers daily and be comfortable in all of your varied responsibilities, whether that is helping to sell to a garage owner and train a team of parts advisors on your products.

EXPERIENCE IDEALLY REQUIRED FOR A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER:

Although coming from a direct business development management or field sales background or similar within an automotive aftermarket manufacturer environment would be fantastic, this organisation are also keen to build for the future and so if you have the sales ability but have worked at a motor factor or distribution level (either internal or external), then you are more than encouraged to also apply!
