The team at BNP Paribas Personal Finance are currently seeking an Asset Manager, who'll sit within a risk function for our Motor Finance proposition. This role is 'one of a kind' for our business, so you'll be an experienced Motor Finance professional with demonstrable experience within a comparable role.

You'll report into our Motor Finance Managing Director, and assist the Business Owner and Risk manager to optimise profitability for the BNP Paribas Personal finance portfolio.

This role is a standalone position for our new and growing Motor Finance division, our policies and processes have been created and implemented, so you'll come in and take over the function.

You'll be responsible for providing information, analysis and technical support for the development and implementation of asset management strategies, which improve portfolio performance and improve customer experience.

This role will manage the residual valuations for the business both on current values and future expected values for residual based products such as personal contract purpose, as well as managing portfolio distributions and stakeholders through monthly steering committee.

Your Key Responsibilities will include:

Analyse market trends, survey reports and sales reports and advise on new and used vehicle market trends and produce Monthly Market report

On a monthly basis recommend and gain sign-off for residual valuations, produce files and upload to partner systems.

Develop, maintain and monitor Residual Value Forecasting models for all vehicles financed by BNP Paribas Personal Finance.

Provide input to pricing and marketing departments on data used for pricing, stocks and disposals

Assist in the development and monitoring of loss forecasting

Develop, recommend and monitor risk strategies which maximise revenue whilst minimising bad debt and detrimental customer behaviours.

To be successful for this position, you'll need:

Experience within a comparable position, so that you'll be able to 'hit the ground running' with us. This is a standalone role within the team so previous experience and knowledge is paramount

Complete understanding of the UK motor industry and vehicle lifecycles; including Residual Value Forecasting, guaranteed future values and vehicle portfolio valuation

Very good knowledge of UK vehicle data providers and their products.

Experience in SAS Base / SQL or similar programming language, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VBA, etc)

Highly Numerate

Excellent analytical and communication skills- within this role you'll be presenting complex data to varying audiences

Stakeholder relationship management- able to challenge appropriately and operate with resilience
