Senior Project Manager

An experienced manager within a manufacturing project delivery environment. You must have the ability to motivate others and drive performance together with providing reliable plans and regular communication both internally and to the customer.
Duties and Responsibilities
To lead, manage and enhance the performance of the department ensuring effective execution of projects to exacting customer demands, on time and within budget.
Continually strive to improve the overall performance by reviewing capability, streamlining of the working procedures and instigating change as required.
Manage customer relationships by ensuring that the customer's needs and expectations are communicated promptly and clearly to the relevant areas of the business.
Implement effective project launch while liaising closely with the Sales, Quality and Manufacturing Departments to ensure that all delivery and quality implications have been assessed.
Produce and maintain clear project plans and schedules that meet the Customer's needs to present information and progress to the customer in a professional and clear format.
Identify any slippage or risk to schedules as soon as possible internally and develop recovery / mitigation plans.
Distribute and plan the Project Managers workloads in order to ensure maximum efficiency of Project execution is achieved.
Maintain and encourage a high morale and initiative culture, through a adopting a positive approach to team working and effective communication.
Work closely with key suppliers and the procurement department to ensure supplier delivery schedules are achieved.
Ensure correct reporting of additional costs incurred to project, are identified to internal management and the customer where appropriate.
Degree standard preferred in a business relevant field.
Demonstrable track record of delivering manufacturing projects in a demanding and technically challenging environment.
Previous departmental management experience.
Experience in the Oil and Gas industry preferred.
Engineering background essential with a good all round knowledge of manufacturing processes.
Understanding of Business ERP/MRP software systems.
Fully IT proficient in typically used applications to both manage information and present to the business and customers.
