A membership organisation, they are seeking a driven business development professional with excellent communication skills who can take accountability for the following:
Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased growth.
Meet and cold call potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organisation.
Plan approaches, develop pitches and growth development collateral.
Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to the client's needs and objectives.
Handle objections by clarifying agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
Work to ensure that a professional organisation and brand image is provided at all times.
Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.
Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market.
Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business pipeline.
Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in supporter recruitment.
Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators.
Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the Salesforce CRM system
Forecast sales targets.
Track and record activity on supporters and help to close deals to meet these targets.
Work with marketing to measure the impact of promotional marketing or media campaigns.
This is a brand new role which seeks a proven business development professional, who ideally has worked for an SME organisation whereby you have taken great responsibility for growing the business. You will ideally have worked for either a membership or not for profit business, will be strategically minded, capable of working autonomously and have excellent communication skills.
