Job Title: Contracts Supervisor/Manager

Location: London and South East

Reports to: Operations Director

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 40 hours consisting of 08.00 to 17.00 with one hour for lunch unpaid

Purpose of Job

Due to continued success and growth an experienced A/C Building Services Supervisor/Manager is required to join a specialist M&E service provider with an outstanding reputation for delivering excellent levels of service. You will be required to provide outstanding contract support and customer service providing HVAC servicing and repairs to commercial buildings and properties. We are keen to attract motivated and enthusiastic recruits, wanting to work for a leading FM contractor. To manage the delivery of PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance), service and reactive repairs to building services on our client sites and effect any remedial works.

Key Responsibilities

*

Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance is carried out in line with task schedules and industry best practices.

*

Identify any defects found to Line Manager and provide parts list and estimated timescale to carry out remedial works.

*

Attend site and carry out reactive repairs as instructed by the help desk team.

*

Maintain the professional and corporate image of the employer.

*

Establish and maintain a good working relationship with all employees and client representatives.

*

Ensure the provision of a compliant working environment.

*

Accountable to the Operations Director.

Person Specification

Education

*

A good level of education is essential with GCSE/O Level English and Mathematics.

*

Recognised apprenticeship served with technical qualifications in either Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.

Training

*

Recognised Mechanical/Electrical qualifications.

*

Recognised trade qualification in another discipline such as Air Conditioning (essential).

*

IEE 17th Edition Regulations (desirable but not essential)

*

Electrical Testing & Inspection (desirable but not essential).

*

Commercial Gas (desirable but not essential).

*

F Gas (essential).

*

Knowledge of other building services an advantage.

Experience (Essential)

*

Working to a Planned Preventative Maintenance regime.

*

Installation of A/C, Mechanical/Electrical services.

*

Fault finding/troubleshooting - ability to diagnose technical problems.

*

Knowledge of lone working requirements.

Aptitudes

*

Good verbal communication skills at all levels.

*

Good written English skills.

*

Able to acquire and maintain sufficient knowledge of a building’s operation and services.

*

Able to work outside of discipline.

Character

*

A team player committed to the delivery of excellent customer service.

*

Able to work under pressure.

*

Able to make sound decisions when needed.

Additional

*

Must be flexible regarding working hours.

Must be available to join a call out rota.

Driving License essential.

- Salary Guide - £40,000 to £45,000 per annum (Dependent upon skills and experience).
