Overview:

This role reports into the Head of RPA Automation Support and is part of the RPA Automation Support team. Capita are channelling significant investment into building an automation capability to serve both internal and external customers. The aspiration is to be one of the largest automation practices in Europe. The initial focus is on internal customers, automating across all areas of Capita's diverse customer base to both drive out cost and improve business assurance.

As automation becomes critical to business delivery replacing headcount and providing essential assurance processes the service needs to be highly available with a robust Transition path to live leading into a support model aligned to business requirements. A failure of the automation service would likely be commercially and reputationally damaging. The service will need to be agile, delivering change rapidly with minimum disruption so a DevOps approach will be used. The service will be delivered in partnership with a combination of internal and external service partners as well as in-house automation support.

What Will A Typical Day Look Like?

This is a critical BU facing position within RPA Support team. The RPA Service Transition Manager will work alongside the programme delivery team through all phases of the delivery lifecycle to ensure that any Service Management concerns are addressed and supporting documentation created ahead of any transition of the new RPA solution or change to an existing RPA service. This role represents the Service element across all ITIL competencies and works with our client base to support and guide however challenging the IT Service Management status-quo to do things differently. Your role will be to ensure success with RPA in the business unit as well as the automation team. It will also act as a partner to business units to ensure needs are met and a layer of protection to both BU & the automation team.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Responsible for the Service Transition of all new/changes to RPA Services as defined by the Solution Design & Service transition framework.

You will capture the correct information, document and transition the end-to-end support required to manage the in-life new RPA service work hand in hand with PM's

You will provide the 'Show & Tell' sessions required by support teams necessary to manage the new RPA Service

RPA Service testing (non-functional): You will ensure that the required level of Service Management testing has been undertaken to prove that the non-functional requirements have been designed appropriately.

Service transition into BAU: Transition the RPA Solution into BAU and ensure you are manging client expectations whilst building the capabilities required to manage the new solution via the BAU service

Service introduction for all customers including operational acceptance by customers and associated third parties.Your Background:

You'll hold an ITIL v3 certification.

A strong Service Transition background with large scale programme deliveries and DevOps exposure - experience of working in a DevOps/Agile support environment

You will have had exposure to RPA (desirable) or similar cutting-edge technologies.

You will have experience in a Service Transition, Service Introduction role within a large organisation.

You can demonstrate exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

Have good planning and scheduling skills.

You will display extraordinary attention to detail and accuracy.

You are confident to ask the questions that others don't.

Show enthusiasm and a real passion for the role with an attitude to enable change.

You can provide examples of handling conflicting and changing priorities whilst still meeting deadlines.As an RPA Service Transition Manager joining a FTSE250 leading company, you can expect to receive a basic salary of £45,000 - £55,000 + 10% salary topper car allowance.
